Cornflower blue

The Cornflower blue is hand woven in rural parts of southern India with a delicate hand block printed swallow in gold.

Working directly with Indian weavers and block printers, the colors are all carefully chosen and each one individually hand dyed and block printed. Each tassel is hand sewn. The dupatta is a blend of 80% cotton and 20% silk.

The work of creating the hand tassels creates an integrated approach to the livelihood of many self employed women who work in the textile and handicraft sector.

This then enables them to support their families and educate their children.

Slight imperfections add to the beauty and story of each piece.
