When I paint the alchemy and magical process takes hold in the stillness of my studio. Layer upon layer of paint manifest on paper and canvas where colour and motive interlace. The jewel like colours are inspired by the Indian desert and the tribal saris of the shepards wives of Rajasthan.

From the spirit of the river on Dartmoor to the wild ancestral landscapes of South America, my travels have lead me to many remote countries, where the ancient indigenous cultures with their songs, stories and memories have become intrinsically woven into my visual language as an artist.
